Good Entrepreneurship in times of COVID-19

Good entrepreneurship during the COVID-19 situation

These have been particularly tough times for work. In addition to supporting our (wonderful) startups, our team has been in meetings and groups to turn the Portuguese entrepreneurial ecosystem around when it comes to facing coronavirus. The truth is that this virus has messed with the wrong ecosystem. Together with all players and the Lisbon City Hall, we are working towards decreasing the impact on the startups’ economic activity, and on those who support them. News will come shortly, stay tuned!

#voltaremosportugal (We'll be back)

The restaurant and hospitality sectors are worst affected by this crisis and it’s time we all got together and value those who have always been there for the good times and leisure – this is the main idea for the new campaign. #voltaremosportugal, by Classihy. Our startup created a people management tool (connecting managers, employees and customers) in restaurants and hotels and now wants to treasure these establishments that have always ensured us our wellbeing. 😊 Everyone can participate in this campaign and win prizes for when this all ends! Choose your favourite hotels and restaurants and take part here!

DefinedCrowd will hire 250 people this year!

Last week we shared DefinedCrowd’s 2019 growth report with you – with all these fantastic figures – and this week we found out that they are going to hire 250 more people!  It’s impressive and great to hear during these darker times, isn’t it? Hiring will take place throughout this year, and there are already some vacancies available on the website. Take a look and who knows, maybe you’ll be able to work in this potential Portuguese unicorn. 😏

COVID19 MAP MAPIDEA STARTUP LISBOA

COVID-19 map by Mapidea

Mapidea is our expert in geographic data and provides this service to companies, with real, updated and reliable information – in the most user-friendly way possible. At times like this, when data maps are abundant and are not always correct, the startup decided to use its knowledge to create a COVID-19 map. This map will be updated continuously, providing the evolution of cases in Portugal and making an incidence rate by the number of inhabitants in each municipality. It can be found here. 🔎
