How will we continue to support the ecosystem?

Community is where the heart is. đŸ’™ We are 100% digital. So, we have created a new section on our website for news, measures and projects developing right now. In this section and also on our social media, we are talking about our startups, their solutions, but also the measures that could help them, external initiatives that could be helpful, and even tips and solutions to this “new norm”. We will update the list by the minute, so go and check it!

STOP COVID19: THE FIRST STAGE IS DONE, NOW OFF FOR A NEW GOAL!

If you think that we are repetitive because we are talking about this topic once again, it’s also thanks to you. In essence, the truth is that in less than a week, the GoParity campaign, in which we are partners, exceeded the initial goal of 100,000€ in buying hospital supplies! Orders are already on their way and will be delivered to the  SNS (Portuguese National Health Service) in the coming days.
But it is not over yet, within the tech4COVID19 movement, new opportunities to buy supplies have been identified and therefore is was set a new limit: 185 thousand euros to buy another 50,000 masks! The campaign has raised around €127k, but we need to reach this new amount as quick as possible! How can you help? Donate here, from as little as 1€.

HOW ARE WE GOING TO SUPPORT LISBON’S ENTREPRENEURIAL ECOSYSTEM?

In addition to our “standard” work, obviously. Yesterday the Lisbon City Council presented 15 measures that the city will put in place to support families, companies and businesses and 2 of them are specifically for startups: the creation of a marketplace and a support team for startups!
But what exactly is going to happen? A team that will help micro, small and medium-sized companies to provide information on all existing support and consultancy; and a marketplace that puts together all the needs of the companies, institutions and municipalities as well as the supply of products and services from our entrepreneurs. 💙

Once again, we couldn’t pick just one startup that stood out this week – but that’s not a bad thing, is it?! So, we’ve put together some of our startups here that are unstoppable. 😍👇

  • SPEAK is now 100% digital! This project’s work was already breaking down isolation barriers through language; therefore, this new hurdle will not stop them! Online courses have allowed anyone to be able to participate! They are doing the best they can, and it looks great! Sign up here.

  • It's not just bad news, it’s good to see that startups are continuing to grow and even better, are hiring! Glartek is looking for designers, developers, marketeers and more! Take a look at their website and apply! Good luck!

  • "A knock-out year for DefinedCrowd", they said, and we believe them! A 656% growth in revenue (yes, you read that right) and a 176% growth in their global workforce. These are some of the impressive numbers in the report made by DefinedCrowd! Take a look at it here. Congratulations!

  • Sustainable materials that fit all body sizes. WONDA began with bikinis and now they’re taking the plunge with sportswear! But they don’t want to do it alone and they need our help to create the perfect line. Help them create it by answering a few questions here.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

The platform Estamos On is updated with the Portuguese Government’s measures in responding to COVID-19. Go there and take a look. This would be an excellent way to help! Apply here.
