We're still standing!
Lisboa Empreende +
To meet the need to support companies and startups, the Lisbon City Council, in partnership with Startup Lisboa, has launched Lisboa Empreende +!
This is a programme that supports Lisbon’s business sector by facing the adverse effects caused by this pandemic. How? Through a wide range of services for companies, information on existing support and advice on how to mitigate the impact of the crisis. Find out more about how the programme can help you right here.
Under the Lisboa Empreende + programme, and together with the CCA Law Firm, a webinar will be held, focusing on the support measures for startups presented by the government. It is limited to 100 participants, so sign up now!
What are the support measures that the government has implemented for startups?
The Portuguese government has launched seven measures to support the entrepreneurial community:
StartupRH Covid19: financial support equivalent to the minimum wage per employee (up to a maximum of 10 employees per startup);
Extension of the Startup Voucher: 3-month extension of the previous grant already awarded;
Vale Incubação – COVID19: support for the startups under five years old, through the appointment of incubation services based on a 1,500€ incentive;
"Mezzanine" funding for Startups: a loan convertible into share capital, after 12 months, with a discount rate to avoid promotor dilation. The average investment tickets are between 50.000 euros and 100.000 euros per startup;
Covid-19 - Portugal Ventures: a notice about the launch of Portugal Ventures in startups, with tickets from 50.000 euros;
Fundo 200M: to provide technology startups and scaleups with greater investment capacity in the late seed and Series A and B phases, with a minimum public investment of 500.000 euros and a maximum of 5 million euros;
Co-investment fund for social innovation: to provide social impact startups with much greater investment capacity in seed phases up to Series A, through matching between private operators and FIS (Social Innovation Fund).

This month's Courier talks about entrepreneurship in the restaurant ecosystem - "Making it in the world of food and drink" helps us learn more about the industry or may even boost the realisation of that business idea we had during the quarantine! [From Start-to-Table, just wait for it]
To listen, we suggest The Pitch podcast, where founders pitch to real investors - "just find a way to survive the next few months", they say.
