Recycle and grow ♻️

Trash4Goods was the winning project of e-Waste Open Innovation, the training and mentoring programme launched in early November by ERP Portugal (Waste Management Entity) and LG Portugal, powered by Startup Lisboa, which came to an end last Wednesday, with a digital event where the five finalists presented their pitch.

Trash4Goods aims to raise awareness and encourage people to take a more active role in recycling, making it more interactive and rewarding for the user, while reinforcing their environmental behaviours, turning them into frequent habits. In addition to €15.000, Trash4Goods is now automatically incubated in Startup Lisboa! Welcome!

♻️ But, in the podium, were still:

In second place came PhoneHut, which allows any user to recycle and/or recover their mobile phone through an ATM Kiosk solution. In third place was ByeWaste, a technological platform that, through an app, aims to increase the forwarding and recycling of household electronic waste by connecting citizens and waste companies through a door-to-door collection, conveniently.

🚀 The good news didn't end yet. This week is being marked by the SCALE ecosystem map launch, by SCALE Cities and Dealroom, a dashboard where you can navigate the hottest ecosystems in Europe, and Lisbon had to be there. Now, it is already possible to consult lists and information about investment, exits or the industries in which startups operate in the different European ecosystems, which are part of SCALE Cities

WHAT IS HAPPENING

💪 The second edition of Portuguese Women in Tech (PWIT) Women's Mentorship Program is now open for applications! This is a five-month programme focused on women students or recent graduates in technology's personal and professional development.

🚀Launch in Lisbon returns in March to help entrepreneurs, investors and freelancers incorporate their businesses in Lisbon! The programme remains remote but promises to convey from A to Z all the information, processes, and help needed for participants to set up in the world's best city.

💶Portugal Fintech launched Fintech 365, a technological innovation programme for fintech startups! In three months, startups will develop solutions and respond to five challenges proposed by Banco CTT, BBVA, CGD, Fidelidade, Novo Banco and Unicre!

🌍 An 8-week sprint to, along with world-class mentors, use entrepreneurship to solve some of the planet's most pressing challenges: poverty, mental health, cancer, pollution or pandemics. The Norrsken Impact Accelerator proposal also has top investors on demo day and $100k of investment for 5% equity!

Our ReviewShake celebrates its second anniversary this week! The startup's mission is to manage online reviews, and to do this has created a useful and smart solution for aggregating and managing reviews, present on different platforms, to help businesses manage them more efficiently.
