We've always been much more than a physical space, but from now on we'll be taking this virtual thing to another level! In the face of this pandemic, to ensure the well-being of our community, we closed the doors of our headquarters in Rua da Prata for an indefinite period of time.
The work of this incubator continues - more than ever! - but let's get digital! Starting now, the support we provide to our incubated startup community is 100% virtual: our offices, workshops, events and initiatives - and even our Pint Slam (why not?)!

IT'S NOT JUST ONE; THEY'RE HUNDREDS!

In the last few days, a large part of the Portuguese entrepreneurial community joined the tech4COVID19 movement to contribute with solutions, ideas, communication, and operations to support and streamline the fight against the pandemic we are experiencing. And in less than a week, this community reached 2000 people!
If Startup of the Week should be a startup that stands out for its work or goals achieved, this week there could have been none other than this supportive community with a single purpose: joining forces to minimize the impact of the virus!

Stop COVID-19 is part of the tech4COVID19 movement and a GoParity revenue-raising campaign to buy protective equipment to ensure individual protection for healthcare professionals! This campaign aims to raise € 100,000, and everyone can help by donating from € 1! Let's be quicker than the virus?
LUGGit had the resources and the will to act so, it gave a twist to its core business. During this time, deliver goods and objects to family and friends, without leaving your house! #WeMoveIt is also part of the tech4COVID19 movement and can be used through the app!
These are challenging times for the restaurant ecosystem, and we have to value those who manage to reinvent themselves and find the right solutions! Our Miap also put a spin on their app and now offers the Click and Collect service - where you can order and pay for meals via mobile phone and then collect them safely at the restaurant's door! Technology that helps us to help restaurants!
Indie Campers' campervans and operational staff will be available to support hospitals, governments, NGOs and public entities whenever they need! Our startup is already present in 15 European countries and wants to help fight this global crisis, so if you think this service can help you 👉 community@indiecampers.com.

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW

The European Commission is looking for startups with innovative solutions to help fight the coronavirus - the call ends today so if you have an idea that can make a difference, apply here. Sifted has created a guide to the measures being taken by European countries to support startups and can be a good help!
It doesn't stop there. At a time when misinformation reaches us from all sides, the Portuguese government launched the Estamos On platform, which aims to disclose all the exceptional measures of response to COVID-19. Finally, and because Lisbon is still the Green Capital 2020, you can apply for the Women4Climate Lisboa acceleration programme until April 30th!
