Startup Lisboa and Women in Tech celebrate partnership

We announce it today, but It officially happened at the Women in Tech Global Awards, during the Web Summit. It's not because it's not relevant, precisely the opposite - we want to give it the attention it deserves! We are fans and supporters of Women in Tech, and we cannot hide our joy and pride in officially becoming partners! From now on, we'll keep on working side by side and follow the winners - who will continue to give us something to watch out!

P.S: Props to our very own #womenintech in the Startup Lisboa team, to the founders of our startups and the alumni, for this boost they are giving to the ecosystem. ❤️

Four rules to make a startup grow 📈

From startup to scaleup. And when financing isn't everything that matters for a startup to grow? Our own Daniela Braga, from DefinedCrowd, talked to Expresso, and left us with some rules she follows (and recommends) to make a company grow! Finding the right investors and pushing the objectives to the limit were two of them, but read the article and find out more. 👌

Some of Portugal’s savviest startups in media are ours ❤️

100 news was the minimum reached by the top 10 of the savviest startups in media in Portugal this year, annouced by Cision. And we, once again 😏, know three of them very well! In the top is Uniplaces - with 285 news! - and Indie Campers and Planetiers are still on the list! Go, go! We hope to keep seeing them around.

VIDEO OF THE WEEK

Lisboa: the Beautiful Side of Business

Why does our city so often fall into the good grace of investors? The answer seems to be as easy for Made of Lisboa as it is for us. 😉 You already know Lisbon is the best city in the world, but if anyone here still has doubts, maybe you'll be convinced after watching the video above. 👆

This startup, which handles and provides undecipherable and secure data for people's privacy, interviewed by Link to Leaders and said that the company is planning to globalise soon, to test its service in foreign companies! Is anyone interested?

Our executive director, Miguel Fontes, spent this morning at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, at a conference organised by ELSA (The European Law Students' Association), with students and specialists addressing some of the most relevant aspects in the creation of startups, business ideas and their implementation. 👌
