Next stop: Lisbon!
π₯ Next stop: Lisbon
Lisbon is still the apple of the eyes for many entrepreneurs around the world. A lot has changed in the past year, but the relevance of setting up a startup in Portugal is still valid.
One of the points that many entrepreneurs assume as favourable to set up in Portugal is precisely our time zone, which allows overlapping working hours of teams from San Francisco to Singapore.
We have long surpassed the idea that what brought entrepreneurs here was the sun and work-life balance. We are still proud of that, but the truth is that our commitment to building a strong ecosystem has given many more reasons for these companies to establish themselves in Lisbon.
Since we started building Launch in Lisbon, our partners Lisbon Tech Guide, Moss & Cooper, PLMJ and PwC, have helped entrepreneurs, from the four corners of the world, discover Portugal and navigate the journey needed to incorporate a company.
European funds, incentives, recruitment channels, employment benefits, internship modules, types of employment contracts, how to take care of taxes or apply for a work visa: these are all topics we talk about in the programme that has already helped dozens of entrepreneurs in the incorporation process.
π The next edition is coming up - in digital format, of course - and applications are open until March 3 on our website.

With this achievement, and in addition to the benefits of the UN network and partners to develop pilots, the startup validates the impact concept and a new boost to turn tourism more balanced and sustainable.

The pandemic entails a new opportunity for all of us to rethink and shift our consumption habits.
