A Startup Lisboa e o Conselho Diretivo da Região Sul da Ordem dos Engenheiros promovem a realização da conferência "Economia Circular - Desafios e Oportunidades", onde será dado especial ênfase à área da construção civil, um dos setores mais representativos da Economia Portuguesa, mas também aquele com maior impacto negativo no meio ambiente. Tendo em conta que, em termos globais, as obras de construção civil consomem cerca de 75% dos recursos naturais extraídos da natureza, sendo que a construção de edifícios, em particular, usa 40% dos recursos minerais, 40% da energia e 16% da água consumidos anualmente.

Startup Lisboa and the Região Sul da Ordem dos Engenheiros promote the conference "Circular Economy - Challenges and Opportunities", where the special emphasis will be given to the area of construction, one of the most representative sectors of the Portuguese Economy, but also the one with the greatest negative impact on the environment. In overall, construction works consume about 75% of natural resources extracted from nature, and building construction, in particular, uses 40% of minerals resources, 40% of energy and 16% of water consumed annually.
